In fact, the Mauricie (identified as Trois-Rivières in the charts) ranks among the least expensive areas in terms of renting costs and the average price of a house. In addition, you should know that lodging is more widely available in the Mauricie than in major centres (such as Montreal, which has been experiencing a severe housing shortage for several years due to a low vacancy rate).
