International Outreach

Our region is proud to have several ambassadors promoting the Mauricie on the international scene.

Let’s take education in the Mauricie as an example. Our region is indeed benefiting from an ever increasing openness to the world shown by the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) and the colleges on its territory. In addition to receiving international students and supporting their integration (for example, the UQTR welcomes nearly 1000 international students from 60 different countries every year), the region’s college and university level institutions give their students the opportunity to expand their academic development through foreign internship programs made possible by several international partnerships built over time.

Along with this openness, our educational and research institutions are involved in knowledge and expertise sharing programs with many foreign institutions and partners, in various academic and research areas.
